Networking and Co-Working Groups for Female Business Owners in Manchester

Being a female business owner can be a lonely affair, but working for yourself doesn’t mean that you have to work by yourself. Over the last year or so, I’ve made a concerted effort to attend more in-real-life networking and co-working events in and around Manchester and it’s been game-changing. It’s particularly helpful on those days where I miss being around colleagues in a typical ‘employed job’ setting, or for when I want to collaborate with female business owners in other industries. But importantly, networking and co-working has allowed me to grow my business over the last few years and develop an incredibly supportive community of female business owners in the Manchester area.

Here are a few of the best networking and co-working groups for female business owners and entrepreneurs in Manchester and beyond.

Networking and co-working groups in Manchester

  1. Passion & Purpose Club

Passion & Purpose is one of the best groups I’ve found for female business owners in Manchester but there are also Passion & Purpose clubs in London, Cheshire, Leeds and Stockport. The club is a community of female business owners working together and also gives you the chance to boost your business authentically with incredible photographs taken by the founder of Passion & Purpose, Karen. Read more about why we think every city needs a networking group like this here or get a feel for the Passion & Purpose Club in this Insta post!

  2. Litsa’s Co-Working Club

We welcomed Litsa to the Moments to Motivate blog last year and have been frequent attenders of her co-working club in Hale Barns. Litsa Smith is the founder of Unscramble Me and her superpower is helping you develop ways of working to become a more effective business owner. Her weekly co-working club is the perfect place to cross off the stubborn items from your to-do list! We have work sprints every time and this 45 minutes can be a time you get more done than in a whole morning at home.

  3. FemFluence

The most stylish business community in Manchester, Femfluence prides themselves on connecting entrepreneurs, professional service providers and business leaders through their networking and events platform. Their events are based around their 3 themes: Style, business and wellness. They host absolutely great events and are a really friendly group of women! I have now attended an event for each of the 3 themes and every one has brought me something different. I loved their latest business mastermind, that involved an inspiring panel discussion but then table discussion with each of the speakers to ask whatever we wanted. Brilliant. Take a look at the event here.

  4. Business Networking For Women - Alderley Edge

A women-only networking group who meet once a month in the Alderley Edge area. A great chance to meet friendly and like-minded female entrepreneurs and women in business. This is free to attend and have speakers and plenty of time to connect with like minded founders.

  5. Knutsford Women in Business

Serving women in business in the Knutsford area, this group host great workshops, talks and events where there is always an opportunity to network. They also have a Facebook community that you can join.

  6. Business Introductions

I recently tried Business Introductions for the first time and was really impressed with their mission of offering a more rewarding version of networking and helping you to generate new leads. Business Introductions hold their networking events in some of Manchester’s top bars and restaurants. Find out about their events here.
