5 Tips to Improve Your Brand's Visibility and Gain New Clients

If you’re running a female-owned business, it can sometimes feel like you’re stuck in a maze. You know that eventually you’ll find the way, but there are so many different directions you’re being pulled in, it can be hard to know where to start. Sometimes you just need a helpful reminder of where to start and where to head next. That’s how Your AJency has been helping female founders from across the globe, in Manchester, London, Chicago and more. In this blog, we’re sharing our top 5 tips that we always use as our starting point for any female entrepreneur looking to raise their online visibility, increase their brand awareness and ultimately, grow their business.

Anna Jones, founder of Your AJency talks about the importance of business visibility.

Our Essential Tips to boosting Your Online Visibility and Growing Your Business

  1. Capture Your Story: The Magic of Visuals

If you want to show up online, our best advice is to get imagery that you love and you’re happy sharing across platforms and websites. Investing in fantastic brand photos is key to boosting visibility. Sure, it can feel awkward at first, but those captivating images can do wonders, giving your brand a human touch and building connections with your audience on social media and websites.

  2. Social Media: Where Engagement Rules

Just opening a social media account isn't enough; it's all about engaging authentically. Share genuine content, connect with industry folks, and let your brand's personality shine through visuals. Just remember that committing to a consistent schedule is better than an all or nothing approach! If you’re not sure where to start, read our blog and remember when you do it right, social media becomes a powerhouse for business visibility.

  3. Collaboration: Power in Partnerships

Teaming up strategically with others can expand your reach like nothing else. Whether it's joint content projects, social media collabs, appearing on a podcast or product bundles, partnerships open doors to new audiences and foster growth organically. Read our guide on how to find your perfect business collaboration here.

  4. Networking: Making Real Connections

Even in our digital age, networking is about building genuine relationships. From online communities to local gatherings, forming real connections boosts brand visibility by opening up opportunities for exposure and support. 5. Mentoring: Levelling Up Your Business Strategy

Sometimes what you need most is an outside pair of eyes to help you know where to direct your efforts. Even if you don’t have the money for investing in a mentor, it’s about having a cohesive plan so you are being strategic and not just posting as and when because if you only do it “when you have time”, you will never see the results you want.

For many female founders, this is daunting! I totally get it. A lot of this doesn’t sound that appealing, and to be honest it can feel really overwhelming! Don’t you agree?

But with our help at Your AJency we make it easier, more fun and actually pretty enjoyable!

Maybe you feel a bit like Drew did… She came to me without a plan but knew she wanted to be seen by more clients and that it was time to get visible. She wasn’t totally comfortable in showing up especially when it came to video. Equally she didn’t want to outsource this part of business as she was afraid she’d lose her voice in the copy (although a good social media manager is able to nail this!)

We empowered Drew with a strategic visibility plan including SEO, keywords as well as a content bank, using this very document. Drew did have a full rebrand, which I love helping clients with if needed, but even if you’re happy with the rest of your branding, making sure you can show up consistently can be a game-changer for your online presence.

Drew started to show up 4-5 times a week on social. She had a brand shoot so had those all-important images that she loved, she engaged with others…. And guess what ….she has had her best quarter ever. (Jan-April 2024) having only started showing up in November 2023.

It isn’t always that quick but this is the power of visibility. Drew has had her real estate business for 11 years. Her services are exactly the same high-quality that she’s always offered, but her brand visibility now reflects this and she has converted more clients than ever! This could be you. She literally went from relying on word of mouth and invisible online to visible and finding clients in brand new markets. Who knows where her new-found visibility will take her next?

See Drew’s full rebranded website here - it’s been a joy to work on and just one of the ways in which I’ve connected my clients to Tash Wilmore - a leading branding expert.
